A tug-of-war with a stick — a duel of strength, will and endurance from a seated position.
By pulling on the "stick" (a piece of sturdy wood), the strength and skill of the men are put to the test.
Two competitors take a seated position, facing one another. They bend their legs so the front of their feet rest firmly against each other. Holding the stick with outstretched arms and clenched fists between them, they begin pulling against one another.
Whoever pulls with enough strength to lift the other out of their seated position is the winner.
